In 2009 the Union County Economic Development Partnership, a division of the Union County Chamber of Commerce, conducted a successful program assessment, gathering information and suggestions from over 75 community and business leaders. We are pleased to report that a strong consensus exists to pursue an enhanced economic development program to ensure that Union County can continue to grow.

The Partnership will amplify its efforts to foster quality job creation and economic growth through small business development, existing business retention and expansion, and downtown revitalization. Our five-year plan contains targeted strategies and measurable goals which will enable Union County to take full advantage of current and future opportunities for sustainable economic growth.

We believe strongly that now is the right time to accelerate our economic development efforts. At a time when competing communities are scaling back their marketing efforts and downsizing their economic development programs, Union County will reinvigorate its program of work and emerge as a regional leader.
